their money come from? How does the machinery of terror work? These are complex questions that drive the work of the NEFA Foundation. The international intelligence community has made progress answering these questions, but they need our help. Many factors limit their effectiveness. Institutional constraints have resulted in a lack of a fully integrated intelligence community able to share information in a timely manner. Jurisdictional issues often limit flexibility and agility. Significant advances in information technology coupled with an inundation of data and a lack of human resources have stretched much of the intelligence community past its ability to meet the challenges alone. Budgets are strained while challenges and priorities continue to change. If future attacks are to be prevented, we all have to do more. NEFA's goal is to provide assistance and we are proud to support our nation in the fight against terror. Collaboration between the private sector and the government is an innovative way to strengthen and advance on-going efforts and the idea is gaining broader acceptance within the government.
